Pupils from Machynlleth Primary School's Sunshine Room have transformed the booking hall at their local railway station into a gallery with their very own railway related artwork!
The murals produced by the youngsters were inspired by a trip on the Cambrian Coast Line between Machynlleth and Barmouth and depict images that can be seen from the train window on this scenic rail journey.
Nina, one of the young people who took part said "We all really enjoyed the train journey as we were able to see so much which is reflected in what we've produced".
David Crunkhorn, Station Manager Cambrian Arriva Trains Wales commented "This is another example of how we are engaging and working with various groups in the local community to develop a sense of ownership and pride in their railway.
We are especially thankful to the youngsters from Machynlleth Primary School for providing such wonderful images that will welcome all visitors to the station".
The murals are the latest enhancement to have taken place at the station in Machynlleth which has included a floral display and a display of local railway related pictures from yesteryear.
Anyone with an interest in providing suitable historic photographs of the Cambrian Lines for the display should contact Gerwyn Jones at gerwyn.jones@arrivatw.co.uk or by phone on 07920 592 363.
