Many railway stations aren’t just transport hubs - they’re community hubs hosting local Welsh businesses, from cafés and shops to museums and art galleries. This provides local jobs and benefits local economies.
We're delighted to see Borth railway station has been shortlisted for the title of station with best local business at this year’s World Cup of Stations. It’s a competition hosted by the Rail Delivery.
Borth Station Museum is a fascinating community heritage centre. Visitors can enjoy a spot of nostalgia and learn about the heyday of the railways and seaside holidays. The formerly derelict station was renovated and reopened in 2011 thanks to the efforts of the Borth Station Volunteers and the local community.
